- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your class starting or you may be refused entry and will forfeit your class. This is to ensure that you warm up properly with the class, reducing risk of injury and ensuring your class starts on time. Late students will NOT be permitted to join in the class.
- Martial X Academy reserves the right to alter the timetable or instructor due to circumstances beyond our control.
- You must fill out a licence form before taking part in any class/event or workshop. You must inform us of any changes to your medical condition, mental health or ability to train safely immediately, as well as any new convictions you may have during your training with us.
- You are responsible for collecting your child from us promptly. You understand that if your child leaves the training room during or after class we are not responsible for your child during that time.
- We are not responsible for any of yours or your children’s property whilst you are with us, if you leave any of your equipment, clothing or belongings with us we have no guarantee that they will be returned. We do not have a Lost Property.
- All techniques and classes are under the instruction of our trained teachers. If you act without our permission or guidance and cause an injury to yourself or another student or instructor, you will be held fully responsible. You are expected to listen and undertake the instructor’s teachings at all times.
You must give us notice in writing if you wish to suspend your membership with Martial X Academy, the notice will be taken from the 1st of the following month – you will therefore be able to train until the end of that calendar month (eg: if you give notice on 10th May, your full month’s payment on 1st June will be taken, you will be able to train until the end of June). Automatic cancellation on your part will be followed up for repayment of the final month. We do not offer refunds for any cancelled sessions, however, you are able to make those sessions up at your convenience at any if our locations with no expiry date to that.
- Martial X Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to the class for any reason.
- People believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave classes/workshops IMMEDIATELY.
- You must tell your instructor if you injure yourself during class no matter how minor you think it may be.
- In the event of snow or bad weather there will be notices placed on our Facebook page AND mailing list. Please get in touch with us if you are unsure.
- You are NOT permitted to ‘spot’ or teach other students whilst attending classes at Martial X Academy. This is for your own safety. Teaching techniques can be complicated and do require knowledge and sufficient
- Please do not show or help other students into or out of moves. Our insurance only covers appointed persons to teach.
- Please note that we are closed for 2 weeks over Christmas and Bank Holiday Mondays – there will be no changes to your monthly payments for this period. If you are attending once a week, then you are able to make up your sessions at a different time in the weeks preceding or following these dates.
- If you wish to freeze your membership, this must be done in writing 4 weeks before the start date of the freeze unless there are extenuating circumstances. Frozen memberships will only be allowed per calendar month – ie: from the 1stof the month to the end of the month and will not be permitted over December.
Please note – you give permission for monthly direct debit payments to be taken from your account on our behalf by third party GoCardless. These will be taken on or around the 1st of each month unless otherwise specified by us or you when setting up your account.
I GIVE PERMISSION TO HAVE FIRST AID ADMINISTERED TO ME IF REQUIRED DURING TRAINING
I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I AM FEELING AT ALL UNWELL, OR ANY OF MY HOUSEHOLD OR SOMEONE I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH IS UNWELL OR SUFFERING FROM ANY OF THE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS: TEMPERATURE, SORE THROAT, LOSS OF TASTE AND/OR SMELL, HEADACHE – I WILL CANCEL MY TRAINING SLOT AND NOT ATTEND. I WILL ALSO FOLLOW GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES AND SELF-ISOLATE FOR THE RECOMMENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
I UNDERSTAND THAT MARTIAL X ACADEMY ARE ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STUDENTS WHILST THEY ARE ON THE MATS FOR THE ALLOCATED SESSION.
MARTIAL X ACADEMY POLICY – Parents and guardians of children aged 11 and younger MUST stay at the venue during sessions
We have found that children often need to leave the session for a short period to go to the loo or get a drink. It is not practical for our staff to accompany the children when they do this. We ask that parents and guardians of children aged 11 and under stay at the venue so that they can assist their children when they need to leave the session for any reason. We are not able to take responsibility in these circumstances. If you are unable to stay during the session, please ensure another parent or guardian can do this for you.
PAYMENTS
All training fees are to be paid via Direct Debit set up through Club Manager on the 1st of each month. If your payment fails, you will be sent a reminder email. If your payment doesn’t arrive by the 8th of the month after the reminder email, then a £10 late payment fee will be invoiced over to you.
